Done pretending you’re okay? Good. Let’s bring change into your life.
Real therapy for deep feelers and overthinkers who carry invisible pain. It’s time for you to worry less and live more.
Untangle what’s underneath the inner critic. Change your life.
You’ve spent a lifetime keeping your internal world hidden, invisible…
Functioning for everyone else, even when you feel on the verge of emotional collapse. Smiling when you felt like shutting down or leaving the room. Silencing your voice to make others happy and feeling deeply afraid of what others will think of you. Overthinking every decision, every interaction, and silently carrying more than anyone realizes while your inner critic makes you second-guess your needs, your feelings, your relationships, and your right to take up space.
Life doesn’t look or feel the way you wish it did and is disconnected from the life you wished you would be living by now. Not knowing how to make it better or where to start.
-
You’re functioning, sure. But inside? You’re unraveling. You show up, smile, do the work, but it’s costing you. You're over it, and you're starting to want more than “just getting by.”
-
Focusing on worst-case scenarios keeps you stuck in fear, worry, and anxiety, making it hard to move forward with decisions in your life and living meaningfully. Maybe, you’re afraid others will dislike you if you voice your needs.
-
Hurtful experiences from the past haunt you in the present, and you feel stuck in a cycle without relief. You swore you’d never repeat the same dynamics, but here you are, same emotional loops, same people-pleasing, same second-guessing. You're ready to break the cycle, not just cope with it.
-
You feel guilty when trying to assert your needs, afraid of letting others down or being seen as “mean,” which leaves you feeling emotionally drained and unfulfilled. You say yes when you mean no. You feel guilty for needing space. You’ve been taught to keep the peace, but it’s eating away at you. You’re craving freedom, and it starts with telling the truth, and giving yourself permission to bring change into your life.
-
You’re exhausted, but wired. Lack of restful sleep leaves you feeling tired and drained, unable to wake up refreshed and energized.
Sleep’s a mess. Rest feels impossible. Your mind races the minute you slow down. You're burned out, emotionally overloaded, and running on fumes. You know something has to change.
If that seems familiar, you might also be feeling:
Life doesn’t have to stay this way, but it takes real work.
Whatever brought you here, seeking emotional relief from your own challenges, problems with your relationships, or healing from past hurtful experiences…
You’ve come to the right place. Not surface-level tools. Not fake positivity. Real, honest therapy that helps you get to the root, and make the changes needed to feel at your best.
You deserve to live happily and meaningfully, and I’m going to help you get there, one session at a time.
welcome!
I’m edith Munguia, lmft (she/her)
I believe in a no-BS style, getting to the root, and helping you live like your life actually belongs to you. Find real relief and honest hope.
Therapy with me is direct, but also compassionate with cultural awareness and deep respect for your lived experience.
This work is real. It’s not always pretty. But it’s worth it.
I create a space where you can show up as you are guarded, all over the place, unsure, and we’ll meet all of it with honesty and curiosity. I’m here to help you unpack what’s actually going on beneath the anxiety, worry, stress, emotional burnout, and stuckness so you can make real, lasting changes.
I believe therapy should feel human. This is a space for real talk, deep work, and coming home to yourself, no performance required. And all at your own pace.
I will help you achieve the life you have been desperately longing for, the one where you feel safe and empowered to say or do whatever YOU want and feels right for YOU.
A Bit About Me (and Why I Care)
I didn’t grow up in chaos but I grew up small. Taught to play it safe, stay quiet, and disconnect from my voice. As an immigrant and woman of color raised in an anxious home, survival shaped everything. Therapy helped me reclaim my voice, and now I help others do the same.
I became a therapist to be the support I once needed. Someone who sees what you carry, even when you hide it well. I work with adults who look like they’ve got it all together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, and unseen underneath. The high-functioning, emotionally intelligent ones who are quietly falling apart from the pressure to keep it together.
Together, we untangle old patterns, clear out the emotional noise, and rebuild from a place of clarity, calm, and self-trust. You don’t have to keep holding it all alone.
It’s not about chasing some picture-perfect version of success. It’s about creating a life that feels safer, intentional, and true.
Sometimes that looks like setting a boundary without guilt. Sometimes it’s sleeping through the night for the first time in years. Sometimes it’s finally feeling safe enough to breathe, rest, speak up, or dream again.
Whatever it looks like for you, I help you find the clarity and courage to choose your life, one that isn’t built on survival, but on meaning, freedom, and self-trust.
How I can help
I specialize in therapy for lasting change.

You’re constantly in your head-overthinking, second-guessing, running through worst-case scenarios like it’s your job. Maybe you don’t even call it “anxiety.” Maybe it just feels like you’re wired, tense, and never truly off.
Together, we’ll get curious about what’s fueling the spiral not just slap a coping skill on top of it. You’ll learn how to slow the noise, challenge the pressure, and feel more at home in your own mind. Learn more. -
Maybe you didn’t grow up in chaos but something still shaped the way you see yourself, trust others, or deal with emotions. You’ve been in survival mode for years, and it's exhausting.
I offer trauma-informed and EMDR therapy that helps you explore the root of those patterns. We won’t just talk about what happened, but we’ll work through how it still lives in your body, your relationships, and your everyday choices. Learn more. -
Unresolved family and childhood trauma, whether from emotional neglect, abuse, witnessing domestic violence, growing up with a parent who misused substances, or being raised by emotionally immature caregivers, can deeply affect how you see yourself and relate to others. These early wounds often show up in adulthood as low self-esteem, fear of abandonment, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling unlovable or not enough.
You may struggle in relationships, feel overwhelmed by guilt when setting limits with family, or worry about how your past will affect your own parenting. Therapy offers a safe space to process these experiences, reparent your inner child, and begin to heal the patterns that no longer serve you. Together, we’ll work to help you feel more grounded, connected, and free to create the relationships and the life you deserve.

You’re tired but wired. You lie in bed replaying the day, worrying about tomorrow, or just feeling stuck in your head. Maybe you wake up already drained or feel like rest just isn’t working for you.
Sleep is deeply connected to stress, anxiety, and unresolved emotion. I help you explore the why behind the struggle so you can finally feel rested in your body and in your life. Learn more. -

I approach each evaluation with deep cultural awareness, clinical precision, and real care. I understand the emotional weight of this process, and I’m here to help support your voice with clarity and respect. Learn more.
How therapy works
Life is stressful enough right now. Let me make this part as easy as possible.
1. Book Your First Session
If you’re ready to do the work, reach out and I’ll let you know what set appointment times are currently available.
In your first session, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what’s been weighing on you, and where you want to feel some relief. You don’t have to explain everything perfectly, just show up as you are.

2. Show Up. Get Real. Go Deep.
We meet weekly or biweekly for 1:1 virtual sessions focused on you, your patterns, your pain, and your potential. We’ll unpack the stuff you’ve been carrying too long: anxiety, people-pleasing, self-doubt, emotional burnout, sleep issues, all of it.
No scripts. No pretending. Just honest, compassionate work that goes beyond surface-level fixes.
3. Meet the You Who’s Been Waiting Beneath the Noise
This isn’t about becoming someone else, it’s about uncovering the version of you that’s been buried under anxiety, overthinking, and old patterns.
You’ll learn how to quiet the noise, trust yourself, and stop letting the past run the show.
More clarity. Better boundaries. Deeper rest. And a life that actually feels like yours.
